Personal Health Management Tool for Blood Clot Vitctims

Are you on birth control or take hormone therapy?

Then you might be at risk for a blood clot. Each year in the US 300,000 to 600,000 people experience dangerous blood clots. Of those, 60,000 to 100,000 Americans die each year.

That’s twice as many deaths than breast cancer and twelve times as many deaths than AIDs.

These blood clots start out in the leg and if not dealt with, they move on to the lung where they can cause real damage. The main way of treating blood clots is to go on a blood thinner. The most common one is called Warfarin (brand name: Coumadin).

However when one is on Warfarin, dietary changes have to be made. These dietary changes have dire consequences if not followed – such as another blood clot or internal bleeding.

That’s where INR Tracker comes in. It’s the definitive personal health management tool designed for Warfarin patients. The site is free, mobile friendly and useful for people on Warfarin or for people trying to prevent blood clots.

INR Tracker let’s users log their Warfarin dosages, health and diet information and generates useful charts for them to easily figure out where their health is.

What’s even cooler is that the site will generate reports for doctors. With this, people can go to their doctor confidently, and their doctor can work with more information when adjusting their dosage.

Pavan Katepalli made the site for his girlfriend after she got blood clots and was put on Warfarin. Afterwards, his girlfriend stepped in with him to bring the program to the web. Currently, they both work on the site together helping thousands of people across the world.

Last August, INR Tracker raised funding and partnered with Reliantheart, a biotech Company based in Houston, Texas. Reliantheart is the maker of a biomedical device called a Left Ventricular Assist Device (lvad).

Left Ventricular Assist Devices help people when their heart is failing and a heart transplant isn’t right. Reliantheart leverages NASA technology for the most technologically advanced lvad in the world.

INR Tracker is completely integrated with their lvad. Check out this video on how they’re integrated:

If a Biotech Company that leverages NASA technology trusts them, then you should too.

You can tell that the leadership behind INR Tracker is passionate because of the free tools and information they provide the public – like this vitamin k food databaseblood clot diagnosis questionnaire and this vitamin k quiz.
