Get your body and energy level back up and working again with these power drinks.

If you are looking to boost your energy and lose excess weight, you must eat pure, unrefined foods and increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables. However, if you are currently eating a diet that is high in processed foods, you may need to detoxify your body in order to give your digestive system a reboot so that it may process and utilize the healthy foods that you are about to consume more efficiently.
An easy way to do this is through the use of green smoothies. In order to rebuild the nutrient stores in a body that has been surviving off of nutrient poor foods, you must consume nutrient dense foods, such as kale. Most people cringe at the thought of having to include more leafy greens and vegetables in their diet. But, by blending these foods into a smoothie, you can create a tasty, healthful drink that can seem more like a treat than a diet food.

Many individuals consume smoothies for various reasons: to lose weight, as a meal replacement when they are too busy to cook, or as a post or pre-workout drink. Benefits of the Ingredients
When making green smoothies, you want to tailor your ingredient list to suit your goals. When using smoothies as a pre-or post workout drink, you always want to include a good quality source of protein to help your muscles rebuild themselves. If you are using a smoothie as a meal replacement, try adding a few spoonfuls of ground oats.

Weight loss smoothies should include vegetables that have diuretic properties, such as celery, to help your body flush out excess water and reduce bloating. Parsley is also a potent diuretic and produces noticeable results quickly. Detox smoothies usually include kale, which is a nutrient powerhouse, to help your body rebuild depleted nutrient stores. Lemons work to aid the liver in the detoxification process.
